ECHOLINK

EchoLink® software allows licensed Amatuer stations to communicate with one another over the Internet, using streaming-audio technology.  The program allows worldwide connections to be made between stations, or from computer to station, greatly enhancing Amateur Radio's communications capabilities.  There are more than 350,000 validated users worldwide — in 159 of the world's 193 nations — with about 6,000 online at any given time.

Echolink allows you to install software on your PC/Laptop or download a app for your phone to connect to other Amateurs. Basicly your phone or computer acts like a handheld radio. Echolink Sysop's can interface their computer to radio or repeater so that others can connect.

Echolink is restricted to licensed Amateur radio operators. You need to register first so that your call sign can be verified. A copy of your license will need to be uploaded. Registration is easy. It may take a few minutes to 24hrs to be verified. Just click on link to register.
